The Parachute Plant, also known as the Errant Wanderer
This large plant, from Icarus, starts out as just a large flowering plant, but once the flowers are seeded a marvelous transformation takes place. The flower immediately starts a rapid growth into a "fruit." Except, it's actually a fully developed plant that's growing within the pods. Once the plant is mature enough, it detaches from the parent plant and the casing surrounding it splits open to become large foils that catch the wind and carry it away. Sometimes these plants can be carried to a completely different plateau. The plant eventually sheds it's foils and lands on the ground with active roots that immediately begin digging in the ground and the process starts all over again.
