Commission for my uncle.

It's based on a cartoon from the New Yorker, around 20 years ago, from the back of his mind. He wanted me to do it for a birthday card.

I'm trying to decide if it would have been funnier to have switched the two and put the nerd behind the counter.

Creation Therapy

Thought I would try my hand at some prose tonight. I'm really pleased with how it's turning out. Of course, I can't create anything without it spilling over into the drawing side, so here's a concept of an Air Whale that will exist in this new world o' mine.

Sprout

A little toddler from Seedlings. Never appears in the story, but just some fleshing out of the world this story takes place in.

Spidey

Here's my Spider-Man from FCBD a couple weeks.  Just now got around to posting it. As far as main stream characters are concerned, I'm really pleased with the way he turned out.

Nothing but a 4h pencil and Pentel Jet Brushpen.  And a really windy day that liked to lift the paper up into my brush.

Blast from the Past - or - How Not to Actually Organize For a Garage Sale

Here's a few non pictures I found. Some song lyrics/poem I wrote and a quote from one of my journals. I think these must have been over 15 years old because both were from before I met my wife.

Song/poem:

Your eyes say what your lips won't
I know your heart, I feel so close
to breaking down the wall... the wall.

The night we shared, not a word was said
your heart was screaming but your head said no
Fool! God speaks to the heart,
Your soul knows all
and I know your heart
I'm breaking down the wall

A lifetime together and where are we know?
Our minds won the war, our hearts must bow.
Fool! God speaks to the heart
your soul knows all
and I know your heart.
I'm breaking down the wall.

quote:

Why do I sit here in the dark waiting for the next spark to come and light my way home?

From the basement.... literally

Here's some artwork that I came across while going through the basement getting ready for the garage sale. This is just a small sample of it, but I just thought it was neat to find art that I've done 10 years ago, more or less.
